In response to Inquirer Business newspaper June 13th 2016,, URC says that they completely recalled 2 lots of products according to the order of the Vietnam Ministry of Health and paid a fine of USD 261,000. This is a complete lie, in fact, URC has just recalled only 5% of more than 1 million high lead level bottles which were sold out to the market.
The next lie is that they try to base on statement of The Food and Drug Administration, Philippines - FDA about "2 lots of product which were contaminated by lead were recalled in Vietnam and were not allowed to be exported to the Philippines" to make a lie "there are no lead-contaminated products of URC in the Philippines". This statement of Lance will be judged by Philippines public in the upcoming days. As mentioned in previous articles, URC doesn’t have any safe products. It applies to all markets where URC involve, such as: Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and other countries. I have a connection with QA Department in these countries and have received a lot of important information about this disaster of lead contamination which is happening in many countries.
Lance tried to relieve the stock market by the statement: "We feel that this matter will be handled soon. We cooperate actively with the Vietnam Ministry of Health". Lance didn't feel ashamed when delivering this because he gave out the direction to URC Vietnam in working with GoldenAdGroupto attack the Vietnam Ministry of Health.
This plan has been carried out by Lance and his employees. Seeder has been hired by URC to complain about the strict lead level of Vietnam.
Phan Cuong: Vietnam might change applicable standard for non-alcoholic beverages in the next few years |
In his turn, Lance directly said: "Lead can be found everywhere but it has been regulated differently in each country. Lead content in 2 lots of product from URC are only slight higher than regulated level. Vietnamese standard is stricter than Japan". We don't know what Japanese standard Lance is referring to but QA professionals know clearly about the fact that Japan is one of the countries which have the strictest regulation on safe foods. In fact, Food Sanitation Act of Japan regulates the lead content of every food: “Must not contain detectable levels of arsenic, lead or cadmium. The tin content must not exceed 150.0 ppm”, that means "Must not have ARSENIC, LEAD or, CADIMI. Content of tin is not more than 150.0 ppm". So the Japanese regulation on lead content in soft drinks is 0.00 mg/l.
According
to the Food Sanitation Act (Japan), lead
content level in beverages is 0.00mg/l (zero)

I will also provide some countries’ standards on lead content level in non-alcoholic bottled beverages so that consumers are not misled by URC’s fake comparisons.
The
article emphasizes that this is the
first time URC has an issue in VN, but in fact URC VN is notorious for near-expired date products, use of expired ingredients, waste disposal causing
environmental pollution, intentionally marketing millions of lead contaminated
beverage bottles, etc. and most recently the unlicensed development of the 38mil USD factory in Hanoi.
If Lance thinks that he can blind people with such statement, he looks down on
customers too much. Once again, in the fight against the evil URC, my friends in URC’s QA units in many
countries have spoken out and provided many information and data that shows
contamination of lead and other heavy metals in URC products are happening seriously as in VN. In the next few days, the truth will be revealed, Lance’s lies will
“show up under the sun” and will be judged by the public.
